How to Effectively Practice Bed Bug Control

One of the most difficult pests to detect in the home is bedbugs. These critters are nocturnal thus, only come out when you are fast asleep. However, it is pertinent to figure out if you have a bedbug infestation as these pests feed on blood. Your blood! So, how do you go about finding bed bug control before or if you even have an infestation? You would have to search your body for small bite marks. You could also choose to stay up at night with a torch, and try to see if any will come out and feed on you. Once you have figured out whether you have an infestation or not, you should then go about controlling this harmful creatures;

1. The first thing that you should do is have all your bedding cleaned. This is not simply by having them laundered though. You have to ensure they are steamed at the highest temperatures possible to ensure that any eggs trapped in them are killed. Another thing would be to have the covers of your cushions in the living room also steam cleaned. Bedbugs will congregate anywhere they can get a warm body, so clean all items that  come into contact with the human body regularly.

2.The next thing that you should do is have your furniture treated. Tea tree oil is a good method of ensuring the bed bugs do not come back. Soak the feet of your bed as well as the sofa. In addition to this, you should spray the furniture with insecticide for good measure.

3.Lastly, another method of bed bug control would be to look for any cracks and crevices in the walls where the bedbugs may hide. Clean out the cracks and then have them filled. This will ensure the bedbugs do not have any hiding places to breed, and live in.
